SYNOPSIS
How many of us, when parking their cars, desperately look for a shaded place, to prevent vehicles from “roasting” under the summer sun? In the future just the opposite could happen, a real race for a “place in the sun.”
The video shows a system of photovoltaic “thin films” modules, developed by researchers at the University of Parma. This technology is able to significantly reduce production costs of solar panels. Within a few years it could become cost competitive with fossil fuels.
